Part-Time Bookkeeper at Fayette Studio
Location: Greenwich, Connecticut

Fayette Studio, a premier resource for bespoke rugs and carpets is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our close-knit team. If you are proficient in Quickbooks Online, have experience in an accounting or bookkeeping environment and possess an understanding of small business HR and Payroll, we would love to hear from you.
About Fayette Studio: Fayette Studio is dedicated to providing high-end, concierge service to our design clientele. We are the go-to destination for bespoke rugs and carpets, offering creative consultation, sample selection, customer rendering, and comprehensive services to cater to our clients’ unique needs. We source exquisite rugs and carpets from mills around the world, making each project a truly exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities: As our Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and administrative processes of Fayette Studio. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Reconciling checks, savings and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
· Calculating and remitting monthly sales tax to the states of NY, CT and FL.
· Assisting staff with questions regarding sales tax status for clients.
· Processing and paying installers, international mills, and certain G&A expenses.
· Managing monthly commission payments for salespersons and collaborations
· Recording and processing customer overpayments, credit memos and vendor credits.
· Reviewing P&L and Balance Sheet on a quarterly basis.
· Creating an annual budget and tracking performance.
· Periodically reviewing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and making necessary adjustments and corrections.
· Preparing and distributing annual 1099s
· Handling various HR tasks, including onboarding new employees, processing bi-weekly payroll, and coordinating annual salary review.
· Reviewing and renewing annual insurance policies.
· Conducting annual Workers’ Compensation Audit.
· Annually refreshing Certificates of Insurance from Fayette Studio Installers.
· Filing annual Personal Property Tax Returns.
· Filing annual reporting for the CT Secretary of State.
· Preparing documents for the tax preparer, fielding questions, and recording any adjustments.
· Preforming bookkeeping tasks for a related real estate company
Skiils and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
· Above-average proficiency with Quickbooks Online.
· Experience in a bookkeeping/accounting position.
· Knowledge/experience in office management/human resources is a plus.
· An Accounting Degree is preferred.
· A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
