FCC Hazelton currently has a United States Penitentiary (USP), a Secure Female Facility (SFF), a Satellite Prison Camp (SPC), and a Federal Correctional Institution (FCI).
Clinical social work in the Federal Bureau of Prisons is a professional licensed discipline. Federal Bureau of Prisons Social Workers assist inmates who are experiencing medical illnesses, psychiatric disorders, complicated pregnancies, terminal illnesses, and life circumstance problems. Additionally, Social Workers serve the general population with child welfare issues, discharge planning and assistance, and in specialized programming, such as the Mental Health Step-Down Units.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education – Satisfactory completion of all the requirements for a master degree in Social Work (MSW).
Age Requirement:
At the time of appointment, applicants must not have reached their 37th birthday, unless they have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement position covered by Special Service retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. In special situations, a waiver may be granted up to age 39 at locations where there is a shortage of applicants under 37.
Salary:
$56,551 to $72,970 per year
