FiberFirst Hiring for Installation Supervisor Job at Dallas-Fort Worth Full Time

As the lead technician will be responsible for analyzing, testing, isolating, and repairing high-level network and customer issues when it comes to installations, as well as provisioning new services. This will include all issues related to installations, provisioning services, and the installation and activation of CPE equipment. This position requires the mentoring of all market installers to ensure that the customer is taken care of.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintaining all technician workflows.
• Conducting quality checks on technician installations.
• Dispatch workload to ensure scheduling of all internal and subcontractor technicians is optimally executed and to ensure technicians are in the right place, at the right time, to meet customer needs.
• Understanding and training team on Webtech and O360.
• Performing weekly vehicle inspection.
• Ensuring safe work environment and technicians have all required PPE.
• Assisting technicians with installations by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables, installing telecommunications equipment, routers and establishing connections.
• Verifying service by testing circuits, and equipment, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
• Maintaining customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
• Enhancing department and organizations reputations by putting the customer first.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum five years of experience in working on fiber networks.
• Minimum five years of experience in splicing fiber.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicle.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours (i.e., shift work), to include nights and weekends, when needed.
• Ability to identify all colors associated with Fiber cable and equipment indicator lights.
• Ability to learn and retain physical and mechanical installation specifications.
• Ability to make fiber connectors, splicing & terminate power connections.

Who You Are:

• You have a leader’s mentality and able to lead a team of installers.
• You have a high level of computer hardware/software experience with skills and knowledge in Microsoft office product lines, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
• You are a team player and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• You have effective written and oral communication skills in English.
• You have a good understanding of basic mechanical terms and tools.
