The firm’s Founder and senior bankers are all highly experienced investment bankers formerly with the financial technology, M&A and investment banking groups of Goldman Sachs & Co in New York, San Francisco, London, and Los Angeles.Role Description: As a Paralegal at FT Partners, you will have the opportunity to provide a broad array of legal assistance to the firm’s General Counsel. You will play a vital role in supporting many areas from corporate governance, transactional and regulatory matters, litigation, maintenance of forms, and file systems. The Paralegal will also provide assistance in basic contract drafting and review for the General Counsel including, NDAs, vendor agreements, and other contracts. In addition, the paralegal will provide strong administrative support for the legal department.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist General Counsel in management of Legal Department operations.Review and provide suggested revisions to agreements, contracts, amendments, and other legal documents.Manage documentation and filing deadlines.Maintain and update legal policies, procedures, and process documents.Coordinate document retention and destruction policies and projectsPrepare meeting agenda and presentation materialsParticipate in Legal Department and firm meetings, and in firm workgroups.Conduct legal and non-legal research, fact-finding, and due diligence projectsAssist in implementation of contract management system. Identify, analyze, test, and review vendors. Provide feedback to the team on pros/cons of leading options.Assist with special projects from the other members of the Legal and Operations teams.General Qualifications2 – 5+ years of paralegal experience with a law firm in the corporate department and/or in-house.Extremely organized and high level of attention to detail. Excellent project management, prioritization, and time management skills.Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks, from the administrative to the complex, and take direction with equanimity.Possess a drive to improve processes and tools.Technologically savvy, with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office products and Acrobat Adobe. Salesforce, DocuSign, and contract management systems proficiency preferredA high level of discretion and confidentiality and a professional demeanor.React with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround.U.S. work authorization required.
