FlexStaff Hiring for HR Generalist, Full-Time, Permanent, Hauppauge, NY at Hauppauge, NY Full Time

We are looking for a HR Generalist to work for one of our clients, a nutritional supplement manufacturer, located in Hauppauge, NY.

This is a permanent, full-time job, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm.

In this role you would be responsible for providing support in recruitment, orientation, benefit administration, and in the accomplishment of HR practices and objectives.

An ideal candidate would have an Associates/Bachelor’s degree in human relations, business administration, sociology, psychology or a related field and 2 years’ experience working in a Human Resources role or department.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Communicate company personnel policies, benefits and procedures to employees
• Work as a strategic business partner with senior management to understand the objectives of the organization and how to align employees to it
• Assist leaders in performance management
• Serve as a direct link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve employee relations issues to include discrimination, harassment, interpersonal conflict, etc.
• Process paperwork for new employees and maintain internal logs for labor distribution and attendance
• Process and log terminations and take appropriate actions to disassociate employees with regards to benefits, payroll, etc
• Review of weekly time and attendance to detect any errors or missed punches
• Administer and enroll employees in company benefits such as medical, vision, dental and life insurance
• Administer and process FMLA, COBRA, New York State disability, and Paid Family Leave claims
• Ensure that personnel files are maintained and within compliance, send out required mailings, and copy necessary documents
• Assist in updating and creating job descriptions and training records
• Create memos and postings for important announcements
• Assist in event coordination including open enrollment, flu shots, company sponsored events, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
