Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Architectural Operations Manager. The position is focused on Architectural Metals/Panels and based out of our Phoenix, AZ location. Responsibilities

• Learn, grow and develop the Architectural Metals division
• Qualify bids. Review all aspects of a new order including estimate, pre-plan information etc.
• Establish and continually update job schedule, site requirements, etc. with general contractor and supervisors
• Attend and facilitate weekly project status meetings
• Lead and delegate project distribution and manage Project Managers
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures and attainment of operating goals.
• Represent company in new business opportunities through contact with individuals who are a critical part of new project opportunities. Secure follow-up work with existing clients based on past performance
• Oversee performance of projects to ensure safety, quality, profitability, and timely execution of work.
• Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports including performance reviews
• Ensure effective scheduling of all items/actions required to complete a project on time and on budget
• Responsible for developing a strong team within the division and building continuity within the group
• Establish and maintain client relationships and develop a high level of trust and credibility with clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Report identified potential business risk elements and design and implement mitigation efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, associations and organizations
• Exercise global decision making by considering other departments within the company such as project management, sales, estimating, accounting, purchasing, etc.
• Project staffing needs. Interview, develop and retain high performing employees
• Monthly management updates to assure projects are progressing as scheduled and within budget
• Understands sheet metal commercial roofing practices, codes and regulations to avoid legal challenges; enforces regulations and recommends new procedures

Skills/Qualifications

• 10 or more years of experience in construction industry preferred
• Strong people skills including abilities to teach, coach and mentor
• B.S. Degree in Business, Construction Management or related educational field preferred Experience in lieu of accepted
• Strong knowledge of Architectural Metal/Panels required
• Knowledge of commercial roofing work is an asset
• Accounting/Finance knowledge required
• Engineering and/or drafting experience a plus
• Computer proficiency (MS Office) and knowledge of project management software. Knowledge of or ability to learn (BlueBeam, ProCor, ViewPoint, PlanGrid, Paskr, Isquarefeet and similar) as well as proprietary Flynn Software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, while providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to meet goals and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
