We are hiring and looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager in Chicago, Illinois.

The Warehouse Operations Manager controls the flow of incoming packages from our manufacture and outgoing orders to our external customers while achieving cost, schedule and quality objectives.

This position is responsible for tactical planning and coordination of inventories and distribution operations using knowledge lean methodology, supply chain strategy and warehouse distribution science.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, schedule, prioritize, allocate, assign and regulate shipments to meet specific project requirements

• Audit and provide regular analysis of all equipment inventory levels, turns and aging

• Establish practices and protocols for warehouse process improvement, procedure documentation and Shopify Order Monitoring.

• Support overhaul efforts of the company’s supply chain for:

• Quicker and more efficient purchasing process

• Real time inventory management and controls

• Update website with inventory records (warehouse & sites) — Make sure incoming inventory is counted properly and updated on our e-commerce website.

• Maintain logs of receipts and shipments to/from warehouse and store.

• Report inventory movement between warehouses and projects

• Communication and handling of damaged & excess inventory

• Understands Shopify and E-Commerce.

About The Job:

• Manage receiving, processing and distribution operations in compliance with company’s policies and vision

• Responsible for the daily overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience

• Implement operational policies and procedures in accordance with the company’s guidelines

• Ensure safe and effective use of warehouse equipment and staff Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain standards of health hygiene, and safety. Requiring 100% adherence at all-times while on warehouse premise

• Accountable for meeting and exceeding performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand while ensuring accuracy and upholding quality control standards

• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization

• Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities by producing daily and weekly reports and statistics on the operation

• In charge of proper training and development of warehouse staff, providing employees with the resources needed to perform their job duties

• Coach and motivate employees through recognition and reward programs. Manage performance of employees by providing constructive feedback and taking disciplinary actions as needed

• Perform duties as assigned by management which could include but are not limited to strategic planning and forecasting; identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks, deficiencies, and problems; and addressing staffing needs

What We Want From You:

• 5+ years of proven work experience as a warehouse manager or similar

• Knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices

• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives and deliver results

• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls

• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Proficient computer skills. Added plus for hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

• Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field

• Proven ability to manage teams of more than 10
