The Generalist, People Partner, will support Leaders to execute people strategies that enables Forever 21 to meet its strategic business priorities. This role will conduct employee relations investigations and provide coaching support to resolve employee concerns and will handle data analytics. The incumbent will also be responsible for people related programs that support employee culture and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Regional People Partners to create, implement, and communicate policies and procedures
Conduct ER investigations for lower-level employee concerns including but not limited to: time and attendance, payroll issues, gossip at work, loss prevention concerns, etc.
Manage various email inboxes and provide employees with quick assistance and/or direct employee questions to the appropriate contacts
Intake, log, and assign retail employee relations cases to the appropriate Regional People Partner and Manager, Employee Relations
Maintain Employee Relations tracker for Regional People Partners
Assist with scheduling and administering training on new processes to the field
Partner with Manager, Communications to craft and distribute weekly HR communications to the field
Support job action process for field employees, including for temp promotions, demotions, transfers, and store closures
Create and provide verifications of employment (VOEs) or redirecting employees to third party administrator when time allows
Coordinate store job fairs and National Hiring events with Talent Acquisition; create and distribute resources
Assist field leaders with rehire eligibility status data
Coordinate with field leaders and appropriate corporate contacts when receiving issues with ADP, iCIMS, and Payroll
Partner with DE&I team on DE&I initiatives and communicate topics back to Regional People Partners
Various reporting ownership, including but not limited to the vacancy report, turnover report, and exit survey data analysis; collect data and report to appropriate field partners
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in Human Resources preferred
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Major in Business Management, Human Resources Management or similar field preferred
HR Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred
Working knowledge of various programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; ADP or basic understanding of HRIS systems
General knowledge and continuous education with employment/labor law in all states
Excellent customer service skills
