Objectives:
As the HR/Office Manager you will be the main point of contact for all administrative and human resources functions. You will ensure employees have the physical and virtual tools to be successful. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to proactively take ownership of this position.
Responsibilities:
General Operations and Administration
Oversee and manage day-to-day office operations, including maintenance of office space, equipment, and supplies, office budget and expenses, liaising with building management, vendors, and IT support
Be the point of contact for all level one IT issues (provisioning equipment, managing team accounts, setting up utilities, etc.)
Prepare and organize officewide meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting setup, and other logistics as needed
Maintain and improve office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems and procedures
People and Staff Management
Collaborate with each department about hiring and recruiting leads including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting phone screens, and performance reference checks, onboarding and offboarding
Administer annual performance reviews and training
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, update employee handbook, polices and standard practices
Process Bi-weekly payroll, PTO, benefits programs
Assist with annual worker’s comp and benefit filings
Lead the Diversity and Inclusion, employee development, and sustainability initiatives
Manage a regular calendar of social and professional events (virtual and in-person), designed to build office culture and community
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2 + years of HR generalist experience
Experience with the full talent life cycle
Familiarity with HRIS (BambooHR) and Paychex a plus
Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Take ownership of projects and follow through on expected deliverables
