Freedom Solar **is looking for a skilled and motivated Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our rapidly growing team. This individual will play a key role on our team and supporting our business in several HR functions, including the following: recruiting, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, onboarding, leave of absence administration, payroll, and compliance. In addition, the HR Generalist will have the opportunity to assist in the implementation of a variety of new HR processes and programs. This position will report to the HR Manager. Because the responsibilities of this role are diverse, the ideal candidate will be a competent and resourceful with a passion for HR.

*Essential Functions and Duties: *

Provides counsel to employees regarding performance issues including but not limited to PIP, progressive disciplinary actions, and terminations.
*

• Audits and monitors personnel transitions including but not limited to on-boarding process of new hires, transfers, demotions, reduction in forces and terminations.
• Running HR, payroll, compliance, and other reports in HRIS
• Support filing of the EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
• Provides daily coaching for directors, managers, supervisors, and employees. Maintains positive relationships and fosters open communication.
• Responsible for filing and tracking employee leave programs including workers compensation, short-term disability, FMLA, ADA, and FFCRA
• Responds to unemployment filings and claims. Preparing for and attending Unemployment hearings as required
• Assist and coordinates employee morale initiatives and recommends as needed.
• Support the performance management process to deliver the maximum value to the organization.
• Assists HR Manager and Recruiting team in other related duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience Required: **
*

• BA/BS in HR Management or Business preferred
• 2 to 3 years of Human Resource Generalist or Specialist experience; HR experience in construction or electrical fields highly desired.
• Must have at least 2 years of Employee Relations experience
• Prior HRIS experience; Workforce ADP strongly preferred
• Multi-state HR experience highly preferred (TX, CO, VA and FL)

• Knowledge of and experience in recruiting processes
• Solid knowledge of employment/labor laws for Colorado

• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication and people skills
