For over 25 years, Fresh & Ready Foods has been manufacturing and distributing high-quality sandwiches, salads, wraps, entrees, box lunches, and much more. In addition to what we make, we are concerned with how we make it. We have a comprehensive, detailed food safety program that gives us an extra level of confidence in the foods we manufacture. We are currently seeking for full-time Quality Technicians to work flexible schedules to include weekends.
Perform daily tasks associated with food and ingredient warehousing and logistic operations for Fresh & Ready Foods. Responsible for the safe receipt, storage, and retrieval of food products. Work collaboratively with Warehouse Supervisor and Manager to guarantee customer satisfaction and to meet daily, weekly and monthly productions goals.
Responsibilities
- Read food production schedules, food supply and equipment orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Receive incoming food supplies, materials, or equipment and verifies orders against invoices. Note discrepancies as necessary.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for food supplies, materials, or equipment and distributes items as instructed.
- Assemble orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Purchase ingredients at the store for production department when needed.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Transport stored items from warehouse to designated areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to work Weekends
- Must be able to work in a cold environment (40-50) for prolonged periods of time (2-3 consistent hours)
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Must be able to have minimum adding/subtracting skills
- Must be able to read small fonts (10 point type)
Special Assignments
- Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management and executive team.
