The Human Resources Manager is responsible for implementing the human resources program, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff. Partners with the CEO and leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly concerning current and future talent needs. Provides key project support to the CEO. The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills; experience working with small to large nonprofits with multiple sources of federal and other government grant funding. Must possess at least five years of human resources experience. S/He should also understand federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
● Five or more years of working in the human resources field, with a minimum of two years in a nonprofit experience preferred.
● Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software.
● Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
● Leadership and coaching skills.
● Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
● Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
● Attention to detail and analytically driven.
● Patience and knowledge to train a culturally diverse staff, interns and volunteers at various understanding levels of computer usage.
