From You Flowers Hiring for Mid-Level Front End Developer at Remote Full Time

About The Role

As a front-end web developer, you’ll join our 5-person development team as a full contributing member: building new features, maintaining our existing codebase, and solving all sorts of technical problems. We build the tools needed to power an ecommerce platform that handles taking, filling, and troubleshooting thousands of orders a day.

Whether you’re building a new responsive UI component, integrating with a new API from our backend team, or standing up new sites, you’ll be empowered to build it the right way, and because we’re a small team, everything we do has a big impact on the way the business operates. We use Vue.js, Sass, and a combination of a legacy PHP web server and a new .NET API, but we’re always open to using the best tool for the job.

This role will mostly be focused on the front-end, building consumer-facing web services, but the ability to contribute to back-end development if needed is a big plus.

Your responsibilities:

• Build it – translate business requirements and use cases into production-ready, heavily-tested applications
• Maintain it – make sure our applications stay up and performant, and troubleshoot issues when they crop up
• Leave it better than you found it – have an eye towards performance and code maintenance with every change you make
• Collaborate – stay up-to-date on technology trends and best-practices, and share those thoughts with the team through code reviews, team discussions, and project proposals

Your skills:

• Experience building enterprise-level web applications
• Experience using bootstrap in a heavily-customized environment
• Experience with a component-based JS framework like React, Angular, or Vue (Vue is a big plus)
• Experience using an MVC server-side framework in a production environment like .NET, Spring, Node.js (.NET is a plus)
• Extensive experience developing against JSON APIs
