About the Company & Job: 7G Distributing, LLC is the exclusive distributor of Anheuser Busch alcoholic beverages in Eastern Iowa. 7G distributes its products to all licensed accounts (bars, convenience stores, grocery stores, etc.) within its territory. The company has warehouse locations in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Davenport and seeking an operations manager for our Dubuque location.

Job Vision:

To plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the organization. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through effective measures and strategies. In addition the Operations Manager will be a leader within the organization and help aid the development of the warehouse and delivery staff.

• Designate daily requirements for managers and Senior drivers

• Assist delivery drivers on peak volume days

• Plan and lead all operations meetings

• Establish procedures and monitor all operations personnel to ensure they are performing their assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner

• Inventory integrity as measured by variance dollars (absolute and total) at or below target as established in the Annual Plan.

• Manage inventory to reduce shrinkage as established in the annual plan.

• Coordinate personnel work schedules based on expected delivery volume in order to maximize productivity.

• Take all possible steps to prevent loss of product through pilferage, damage, or aging.

• Review delivery orders and assigned equipment with Routing on a daily basis to increase efficiency and profitability of delivery system.

• Review code date and volume issues on routes. Work with the warehouse and sales department managers to find solutions to these issues

• Ensure the facility is properly maintained as prescribed by the standards set forth by 7G Distributing, LLC and Suppliers

• Participate in planning personnel safety and facility protection activities.

• Make recommendations to the VP/GM for any changes in procedures that would improve the productivity of operations, or would require employing new types of equipment, processes or technology.

• Participate in the interview process to select and hire the best operations staff in the market.

• Act as a positive role model and provide leadership to all operations personnel

• Ensure that all Operations personnel receive adequate training and are prepared to advance through the pre-determined career progression

• Maintain current driver’s license and insurability as required by 7G Distributing, LLC and associated agencies

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar field and or 5 years’ experience in an operations management position

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong leadership skills that include effective time management, prioritizing and delegation

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications

• Hold a commercial driver’s license or ability to obtain one

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per hour
