Job Purpose:
The Manager, HR Operations role will help build and execute guidelines and programs against a global landscape. The remit spans compensation, benefits administration, processes, HR compliance & audits, HR systems & data, performance management, and employee engagement and development. This role requires a global, systems-thinking mind-set.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
Benefits administration (US only) – Manage relationship with 3rd party vendor. Manage HSA, FSA, 401k, etc. deductions in payroll. Reconcile vendor invoices and payments. Manage and keep a log of employee leaves. Process documentation in support of unemployment claims. Shepherd the annual open enrollment process.
Compensation – Partner with the Director, Global HR Operations to implement the global compensation guidelines. This includes establishing compensation bands per job/level, driving analysis to demonstrate where adjustments should be made, and working with the HR Business Partners to apply the analyses toward competitive pay and adjustments across the workforce.
Maintain employees and job descriptions in Payscale, ensuring market data is updated for all new positions and locations.
Workforce Analytics / Management – Execute analyses to drive decision-making and for a variety of reporting purposes.
Holiday calendar – Manage the global company holiday calendar and publish the calendar for each country/region. Updating holidays in the HRIS and payroll platforms.
Performance Management – Assist the Director, Global HR Operations with the set up and execution of the mid-year and annual performance review process.
HRIS management – Assist the Director, Global HR Operations with the management and efficacy of the HRM systems. Drive for operational and data excellence among the HR systems landscape.
HR Audits – Establish and maintain audit and compliance procedures for HR
HR Policies – Partner with the Chief People Officer and Director, Global HR Operations to develop people-related policies for the company. Support the build out the employee handbook for the company, localizing policy where appropriate.
Set-up policies for review and acknowledgment by employees through HRIS system, and produce reports tracking completion for audit.
Compliance – Partner with IT and Legal to provide employee data for audit purposes.
Job Descriptions – Maintain library of Job Descriptions, ensuring that they are updated by employee and work locations.
Training and Development – Create and execute the training strategy for required annual training (e.g. sexual harassment). Track training completion. Identify additional training needs and secure vendors to deliver the content.
Employee Engagement – Partner across the HR team to develop and deliver employee programming. This may include set-up of new programs, social events, and cross-functional learning events.
Support the execution of additional cross-functional programs, as needed.
Requirements:
2-3 years compensation experience, specifically in executing annual compensation cycles
2-3 years benefits administration experience
3-5 years of payroll administration experience, specifically in the United States and UK
Experience with building HR programs
1-2 years of project or program management, ideally within the HR function
Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
Strong emotional IQ (EQ) and demonstrated ability to create relationships with new people quickly and easily and manage those relationships effectively over time
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Self-motivated and solution-oriented
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Confident, strategic thinker
Strong presentations skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Travel Requirements:
This role may require domestic and international travel from time to time.
