A Director role on the Business Operations Team leads the strategy and operational excellence that impacts delivery teams globally. Working closely with the VP, Business Operations, fellow Operations Directors and Regional Directors (US/APAC/EU/CAN), the Director drives initiatives with the lens of ensuring that we are able to grow our striver base while maintaining quality and delivering meaningful outcomes. The Director, Outcomes has a deep commitment to serving our learner population that shows up through best in class career coaching, the building of strategic work that removes roadblocks in the job search process, supporting the development and needs of our career coaches, deep alignment with our partnerships org and in raising the voice of the job seeker to the broader organization.
As the Director, Outcomes, you’ll play a key strategic role in not just GA, but in the success of the students we serve. This role is pivotal to the future goals and ambitions of the organization and requires someone that is ready to lead, test, evolve and assess and shake up current practices. Your first priorities are tied directly to the outcomes experience with this role expanding in future to engage our alumni in meaningful, strategic ways. You will shape and execute on our vision of career services built around our customer and partner needs. The position reports directly to the Vice President, Business Operations and is a member of the global leadership team.
Strategic Ownership and Vision of Outcomes
Can clearly articulate risks and opportunities for career coaching and outcomes placement
Utilizes data and feedback to drive the team in a clear, strategic direction
Consistently communicates with team to drive mission and vision
Keeps tabs on the competitive landscape of Outcomes (and Alumni practices) in the EdTech and Education space
Able to set the objectives and vision of the team and oversee the build and roll-out of small and large scale changes as needed to ensure the team is operating effectively and efficiently
Works closely with GM of Partnerships to ensure strategic alignment and clear strategy is being built
Project Management
Serves as key stakeholder in ensuring department representation in major organizational shifts and implementations
Ensures that clear goals and timelines are in place for projects, that those are clearly articulated to the org, and that a post-mortem process is in place to assess the value of the changes made / go forward plan
Oversees equitable way for global department Needs to be reported, captured and prioritized
Playbook Oversight
Identifies gaps and refresh needs in playbook (examples include onboarding, program roadmap, internal processes, new product launches, etc.) and ensures owner and go forward plan to build and deliver is in place
Training and Development
Assesses Outcomes team wide development opportunities, prioritizes and ensures implementation of training or other opportunities that meet those needs
Tools and Systems
Partners with cross-functional leadership to ensure that an Outcomes perspective is considered in all new builds, launches and post mortem
Works to identify tools and systems needs of the team, identify best tools, support business case of bringing on tools, tool implementation and training
Works to standardize and improve existing outcomes tools to drive efficiency and excellence for career coaches, students, job seekers and alums.
Owns submitting and advocating product requests internally, ensuring current tools are refreshed and revamped
Owns ensuring team has clear Tableau dashboards and reporting to support and drive outcomes results
Identification and Ownership of Global Outcomes OKRs
To be in alignment with VP, Operations, VP, Partnerships and Director/Regional Leads
Manages Global Outcomes roadmap to include clear goals, deliverables and delivery timeline
Cross Functional Leadership
Leads on at least two process improvements across the org per year, in partnership with that HQ team (i.e. Regulatory/Legal, Admissions, Marketing, Product, Finance, IT)
Ensures that projects they are leading on meet the needs beyond the delivery organization (i.e. Regulatory/Legal, Admissions, Marketing, Product, Finance, IT)
Deep cross functional collaboration with the leaders of Admissions, Student Success, Instruction Management and Instruction to assure a streamlined, high quality, high impact learner experience
Elevates Communication
Consistently communicates with direct reports, matrixed team and org at large to drive mission and vision, build buy in and elevate needs/risks/opportunity
Ensures there is clear understanding with the org of how their work ties to the essential intent
Build trust and collaboration, as well as trust as the operational leader, across the organization
Thoughtfully manages, and holds accountable, outside vendors utilized to provide customer support, ensuring they are driving a quality, branded experience for our consumers

Future of Outcomes/Onboarding at GA
Drive deep alignment and strategy across our B2B/B2C/B2G business to ensure we are building a thriving ecosystem of talent that allows us to achieve our 2025 goal of placing 50,000 strivers
Global Outcomes Experience
Ownership of engaging team members to deliver on needs related to refresh, development, async content, curriculum or training of the baseline Global Outcomes Curriculum to drive brand consistency and quality
Oversee determining what aspects of this programming are critical for continuation/drive value and outcomes for our global community of seekers and what is no longer relevant
Develop a deep partnership with the learning side of the house to ensure curriculum is built with aligned learning philosophies and creates a safe learning environment for all students regardless of race, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, disability status, religious affiliation, socioeconomic status, or political persuasion.
Oversee Data and Delivery Process of Annual Outcomes Report
Supports the annual auditing process and report development of the business critical outcomes report
Collaborate on and elevate opportunities to improve the report / create a competitive, compelling advantage in the data and narrative we share
Future of Alumni influence on Outcomes at GA
Model opportunities for the organization to more deeply engage with our alumni community to 1.) develop hiring partner relationships and 2.) create a pool of senior candidates we are able to place through our own or Adecco channels
Minimum five years experience in career services, recruiting or similarly aligned leadership role. Previous EdTech experience is a plus.
Previous experience implementing complex, operations focused organizational changes.
Previous experience in successfully hiring, building and managing high functioning teams. Able to build teams that thrive through a commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace.
Ability to represent as the leader of this piece of the organization to peers, senior team members and the org at large.
A deep understanding of how people, structure, tools, and culture drive a team’s success.
You are passionate about building, leading, and scaling. You are obsessive about the student experience and their return on investment in their education and are relentless about continuously improving the ways we meet student needs.
Experience leveraging and implementing tools to drive work efficiencies and business needs.
