The Maintenance Planner plays a key role in optimizing plant performance by leveraging technology while providing expertise and solutions to manage planning, contractors, materials, and related activities. This position will work with the operational areas to create and provide maintenance outage/shutdown planning & execution, daily planning, and execution discipline for all operational areas of the facility. This position will work closely with operations leadership and technicians, facility maintenance, capital engineers, and reliability personnel to provide effective planning/scheduling or daily work and outage/shutdown factions. The Georgia-Pacific Gypsum facility in Newington, NH produces a variety of gypsum wallboard, roof decking, and sheathing products. Wallboard is an affordable, strong and durable construction material used in residential and commercial building.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Responsible for short-range as well as medium-range scheduling activities. Short-range scheduling involves the regular updates to outage calendars, scheduling tasks for modular shuts and monthly down-days. Medium-range scheduling is coordinating and scheduling for semi-annual plant wide outages.
• Scheduling for shutdowns (major and minor), utilizing tools such as Gantt charts (Microsoft Project), Critical Path Analysis, and resource leveling.
• Ensure preventive maintenance work is performed as scheduled, drive development of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Track shutdown progress, facilitate short-interval meetings and keep plant management informed of delays.
• Site owner for scheduling system. Develop system to track and document lessons learn during modular shuts, down-days, and mill outages.
• Effectively managing relationships with key stakeholders, including Maintenance and Operations Area Leaders, Planning Team and Reliability Team.
• Promote teamwork, interact and work with all disciplines across Operations organization through effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Demonstrates high initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work safely and efficiently as a team and independently.
• Scope work and assess the requirements for routine, planned down days, and for annual outage activities.
• Position is expected to lead and manage other without formal reporting structure initially.
• Strong influencing and leadership skills required that may eventually evolve into formal direct reporting. 

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a planner within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment OR 5+ years working in a maintenance department.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) (such as MP2, SAP or JDE)
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)
• Ability to work on-call hours as required.
• Helps to manage the MOC process.
• Leadership experience effectively managing others.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. 
• Experience with Microsoft Word (i.e., Job plant write ups), Excel or Project (i.e., data analysis and assembly of charts), PowerPoint (i.e., presenting information to varying audiences, problem analyses, etc.)
• Reliability Improvement – Perform systematic analysis and resolution of process and equipment failures; participate in troubleshooting process; develop and implement asset strategies for existing equipment, review concepts and designs for process improvement projects.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with coordinating contractors or procurement.
• Leadership experience managing projects.
• Experience applying Reliability Best Practices, RCAs, Preventive Maintenance,  and Predictive Maintenance. 
• Experience as a maintenance or outage planner with manufacturing facility.
• Degree or certificate in engineering or industrial management.
• Millwright, electrician, or mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of how to read drawings, blueprints, BOMs, and other mechanical and electrical documentation. 
• Project management experience or Project Management Professional.
• Prior Gypsum experience. 
• MP2 experience.
