The Gersh Organization is dedicated to changing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. With our family of programs in various locations on Long Island, Seattle and in Puerto Rico, Gersh is the leading provider of educational and support services for children on the autism spectrum and their families. The primary function of this role is to source and staff quality candidates to support all entities of our organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Converse with C-Suite in regards to open positions and hiring expectations
Post open executive positions across the organization on respective job boards
Source and filter potential candidates based upon qualifications
Phone screen potential candidates to ensure they meet position expectations
Discuss position schedule, compensation, benefits and address any inquiries candidates may have
Schedule in-person interviews with hiring managers dependent upon availability
Ensure calendar invites are sent to candidates & hiring managers for interviews
Ensure all candidates that have phone screened or interviewed are in ATS
Make final offers to selected candidates
Complete new hire paperwork to submit to HR to ensure an official offer is sent out
Assist new hires with returning paperwork in a timely manner
Complete check-ins after new hire’s first week to ensure their experience is meeting their expectations
Keep all candidates that have interviewed updated with the hiring process and inform them of hiring decisions
Keep track of all approved requisitions and work to get them filled
Ensure budgets are within limitations
Establish procedures to improve employee retention
Attend various career fairs to recruit/spread awareness about the organization
