Overview
Are you ready to be a key player in our Logistics and Distribution Network? As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing Full-Truckload and Less-than-Truckload services, driving excellence in vendor service levels, and fostering strong relationships. This exciting position offers the flexibility of remote work while keeping you connected to our vibrant headquarters in Lancaster, PA.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Take the lead in carrier selection, lane assignment, and routing determination to optimize our logistics network.
Engage in impactful contract negotiations, utilizing RFPs, bid packages, and data analysis to achieve high service levels at competitive rates.
Be the troubleshooter extraordinaire, swiftly resolving daily transportation issues to keep things running smoothly.
Develop insightful reports to monitor and enhance carrier performance, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cultivate relationships through frequent business meetings with transportation vendors, ensuring alignment with our values and goals.
Stay ahead of market trends, making informed buying decisions that contribute to our success.
Identify and qualify new carriers, expanding and strengthening our transportation network.
Manage systems and data efficiently to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.
Champion the cargo security program, upholding freight handling standards in line with security and food safety guidelines.
Contribute to multiple projects and duties simultaneously, supporting our commitment to continuous improvement and growth.
Foster collaboration between plants and business units, maintaining strategic alignment.
Qualifications

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, facilitating meetings and documenting critical results.
Persuasive interpersonal skills to build strong relationships internally and externally.
Ability to interface effectively with plant personnel, manage projects, and drive cost and process improvement.
Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and the ability to identify key issues.
Financial and qualitative acumen, understanding the impact of key quantitative and financial measures.
Visionary mindset, challenging existing processes and paradigms.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, delivering independent results while maintaining composure.
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
Experience with Oracle and/or SAP.
Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 15%).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing operations.
Familiarity with Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System.
