Job Summary
Capozzi Design Build is in search of an experienced part-time Bookkeeper with a unique blend of strong accounting skills and expertise in managing human resources-related tasks. This role involves overseeing payroll, benefits, compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, prompt, and possesses an excellent understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and legal compliance.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and deductions.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports for upper management.
Manage payroll tasks, including processing paychecks, withholdings, and drafting reports.
Compile employee records, documenting new hires, leaves, and terminations.
Oversee benefit and compensation programs.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
Facilitate payments to vendors.
Maintain an organized filing system.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management/Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial software; familiarity with Computer Ease is a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
