Position Overview
Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
Specific Responsibilities
- Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of warehouse employees
- Involved in hiring process and decision making of warehouse personnel
- Assign workloads to warehouse employees
- Monitor/approve vacation or personal time off for department
- Provide appropriate coverage for shipping/receiving (both groups)
- Monitor and approve timecards for Warehouse personnel
- Able to ship/receive international shipments and prepare all documents for international shipments
- Receive parts in SAP
- Organize received parts for shipping or stocking on appropriate shelves
- Provide sufficient packaging on all shipments for parts to arrive at customer site safely
- Help maintain packaging material stock in warehouse
- Spot check inventory
- Add freight cost to all orders shipped against our freight accounts
- Organize shelf space for new part numbers now being stocked
- Have all stock parts clearly marked for easy identification for picking
- Pick parts to fulfill sales orders
- Build wooden boxes when needed for shipping
- Help organize ship complete orders for staging until ready to ship
- Maintain clean aisle and warehouse area
- Maintain proper bin location of all stock parts
- Process shipment in SAP to produce packing list
- Manage and lead annual physical inventory process
- Maintain safe workspace in warehouse
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Computer literacy required
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Forklift and excellent safety experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Reliable
Experience
- Experience in warehouse environment
- Experience leading a small team
- SAP experience preferred
