Datacenter Network Operation Center (NOC) Support Technician

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide Technical customer support by phone and/or ticket system

• Understand and practice excellent and professional phone and email etiquette

• Maintain physical IT infrastructure

• Monitor security tools, system logs and dashboards for problems and take appropriate actions

• Understand and experienced at Enterprise server hardware break-fix

• Proficient at neatly managing IT assets such as cable management, server labels/tags, etc.

• Identify possible issues using various monitoring tools

• Maintain internal physical security of the facility

• Implementation of new provisioning requests

• Implementation of specific internal equipment installation

• Provide aid in day to day facility operations

Desired Qualifications:

– Able to work well in a team/individual environment with minimal supervision

– Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems

– MS Server or Office 365 MCSA

– Efficiency in hardware troubleshooting

– Fluent in English with good communication skills

– Strong troubleshooting skills

– Familiar with networking technologies

– Proactive monitoring and maintenance is a crucial part of our support package

– Ability to monitor using our systems and software to create detailed work logs and technical documentation.

– Linux knowledge is a big plus

– Knowledge and understanding of Web technologies

Working conditions and Physical requirements:

– Some physical work required such as installing and managing cables

– Able to lift up to 50lbs (servers)

NOTE: This is NOT a call center position

Direct reports to: Datacenter Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $30.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
