Goben Cars in Middleton is looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. We are looking for an auto mechanic that has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Being well-versed in complex mechanical or electronical systems of vehicles is very important. We have a variety of vehicles being a large used car dealership. You will be working on all different brands and having a good general understanding of most vehicles with be necessary in order to perform at this job. We are constantly busy between getting new inventory inspected and set up to sell and handling customer appointments set up by our Service Manager. There will be a schedule set in place for you everyday and parts are ordered by our Service Manager for you. Goben cars does offer a 100 day, unlimited mile powertrain warranty with every vehicle and the promises that are made during the sale are appointments made to ensure that every customer is happy with their vehicle.

We are offering a $1,000 sign on Bonus after your first 90 Days on the Job.

We offer Top Dollar pay based on qualifications, 40 hour work week, M-F. 9-5. Health benefits, and paid vacations.

Responsibilities Include:

-Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
-Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
-Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
-Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
-Keep logs on work and issues
-Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Skills:

-Proven experience as auto mechanic
-Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
-Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
-Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
-Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.

High school diploma; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
