Bookkeeper Responsibilities

• Document and manage daily financial transactions for several companies, encompassing areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, outside vendor reconciliations, and banking activity.
• Contribute to the collection of data for, and processing of, payroll for multiple companies.
• Create balance sheet reconciliations and reporting schedules for several companies.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including researching reconciling items for multiple companies.
• Collaborate in the monthly and annual close process, ensuring deadlines are met for several companies.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests for multiple companies.
• Undertake additional projects as assigned.

Bookkeeper Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Six (6) years of experience in the role of Bookkeeper or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of the laws and regulations related to local and federal accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in bookkeeping theory principles and practices, particularly in managing varied and complex transactions.
• Familiarity with modern office practices and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
• Strong multitasking abilities, clear and concise communication skills.
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.Experience with general ledger and month-end close is advantageous.
