Minimum qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.* 6 years of experience in an agency or an in-house creative team at an organization.* Portfolio of work including creative writing that shows range in tone and mediums.Preferred qualifications:* Experience executing and leading multiple projects.* Experience leading creative teams (content creation, film production, or similar field).* Experience articulating new ideas using simple narratives.* Portfolio of work that demonstrates a curiosity for abstract concepts or emerging technologies.* Portfolio of work that demonstrates the high level of craft, flexibility of voice and style, and ability to make complex ideas accessible and understandable.* Comfortable with a remote working environment; self motivated, and able to move forward with open constraints and direction.About the jobThe Creative Lab is a small team of designers, writers, programmers, filmmakers, producers and business thinkers whose mission is to remind the world what it is they love about Google. Your strengths in writing could be applied in a variety of ways. You will help define strategic direction for Google products/initiatives through decks or written narratives. You will write content for products or other interactive experiences. You will work directly on scripts for films or live events, and be sketching through words, creating sentences, and stories to help capture the future as we imagine it could or should be. You’ll work directly with creatives of other disciplines, such as filmmakers, designers, or coders, and engage in helping solve complex problems.Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two.
