Position Overview

Our auto shop is in need of an experienced, thorough technician for our service department. The successful candidate will be assisting in diagnosing and repairing myriad issues on customers’ cars. We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized professional who takes pride in his or her work and can perform customer service duties as required throughout the day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer
• Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work
• Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate
• Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
• Describe vehicle’s condition to customer and answer any follow-up questions
• File appropriate documentation on each repair

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required
• Valid driver’s license

• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools
• Previous experience or training – recommended 7 years actual experience or training as a mechanic

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Riverside, CA 92503: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
