Greenbrier Government Solutions Inc Hiring for Encryption Engineer at Remote Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Encryption Engineer to provide resident professional services. The Encryption Engineer shall deliver to VA a single fully functional, integrated, enterprise-wide cryptographic key management system (KMS) platform (“Platform”) consisting of Key Management System Software, Local Security Devices, Virtualization Blade Systems, and Storage Appliances.

Responsibilities

• Configure the overall Platform as individual Local Security Devices and the central replication facilities are brought online.
• Import external cryptographic assets VA provides, including passwords, certificates, cryptographic keys, API tokens, and other secrets.
• Integrate with VA staff to encrypt databases, storage systems, server operating systems, network devices, and other IT infrastructure.
• Integrate with VA staff to migrate existing cryptographic keys where feasible or generate replacement keys where exportation is non-feasible.
• Staff an encryption service desk from 8:00am to 12:00pm and from 12:30pm to 4:30pm ET on all days in which the Government is open for business.
• Maintain all elements of the Platform.
• Coordinate replacement of failed Local Security Device hardware with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and VA facility staff.
• Test changes to Platform utilizing established VA change control procedures.
• Deploy approved software and firmware patches, application updates, and configuration changes to the Platform.
