GreenOak Accounting Hiring for Small Business Tax Preparer Job at Remote Full Time

We are seeking a smart and ambitious Tax Accountant to join our firm.

We are looking for someone who will be an integral part of our tax team and will be 100% dedicated to GreenOak Accounting. This position is not a good fit for someone who plans to maintain their own roster of clients on the side.

Our ideal candidate:

• CPA/EA preferred
• Experience and ability to prepare tax returns independently (1120S, 1065, Schedule C and 1040)
• Ability to handle and research complex tax work
• Experience in a tax/accounting firm
• Client-facing experience
• Ability to think on the spot and help guide clients through tax implications of their situation
• Ability to recognize when something doesn’t look right and analytical skills to find/correct the issue
• Ability to write clearly with proper grammar, comfortable explaining complex concepts in writing
• Team player who is happy to jump in and help a colleague
• Committed to researching, being resourceful, asking questions, and anything else to *FIND THE ANSWER*
• Establish, document, and evaluate internal processes for the best client experience.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of Lacerte is ideal.
• Must be knowledgeable in QuickBooks Online.
• Have an ability to own client relationships and enjoy working with them! This usually means you have a knack for clear communication, professionalism, and patience.
• Must be willing to learn new software (such as task management, email, etc) and can adapt to change.
• Be committed to researching and taking initiative when there is something you don’t know. In other words, be willing/excited to deliver more than just compliance work. We are a trusted advisor to our clients and they rely on us for advice, guidance–not just numbers.
• Adhere to our strict data security compliance standards.
