GTI-A is looking for an energetic detail oriented HR Administrator that is positive, hardworking individual that will handle the day-to-day HR functions in our manufacturing environment with focus on creating a positive culture and working environment for all associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of internal and external candidates.
• Utilize HRIS (Dayforce)to track applicants and onboard new hires
• Schedule, coordinate, and conduct orientation for new associates, complete required documentation and ensure employee data is correct in HRIS (Dayforce)
• Assist with associate leaves of absence, update and maintain leave reports, communicate approved leaves with team leaders and/or managers
• Assist in open enrollment activities, communicate critical dates and changes to associates in timely manner, schedule onsite screenings and other health activities
• Review timesheets to make sure all managers and team leaders correctly updated prior to processing of payroll; input garnishments, complete verifications of employment
• Update and maintain HRIS, HR files, personnel files, and required reports as needed
• Be a resource for Production Team Leaders and Managers on employment issues
• Provide support to all associates by answering inquiries, and providing HR assistance as needed
• Participate in the planning, coordinating, and execution of activity committee and employee engagement events
• Provide backup support in areas of HR including but not limited to associate involvement, training, payroll administration, disciplinary actions/investigation, and EHS activities.
• Effectively communicate with internal customer (i.e. Production departments) and support services such as IT, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Quality Control, Shipping and Maintenance.
• May perform other duties as requested

Requirements/Skills

• Knowledge of HR employment law including but not limited to knowledge of EEOC, ADA, DOL, FLSA, FMLA and state/federal mandates
• Problem recognition and elevation as needed
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Must be able to communicate and work with associates at all levels of the organization.
• Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
• Strong computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with ability to create, maintain and update reports (pivot tables).
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Previous human resources experience required, preferably in manufacturing environment
• Proven record of teamwork
