Guardian Glass is seeking qualified professionals to consider a career as a Maintenance Planner to support the manufacturing operation at our glass manufacturing facility located in Kingsburg, CA. The Maintenance Planner is the principal contact between the maintenance department and the plant.
Our Maintenance Planner will work a Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM shift.
Starting wages are $28-32 per hour. We offer a robust benefits package that includes a 401K plan with a 7% Match and 120 hours of vacation time.
What You Will Do In Your Role
· Conduct field walk-throughs to scope out all components necessary for planning maintenance work
· Plan and prepare work packages focusing on safe, efficient, high-quality work
· Create business relationships and communicate with internal and external resources
· Order parts and materials when needed
· Complete contract requisitions when required and complete payment authorizations when jobs are completed
· Assist in overseeing contractor work
· Maintain and build bills of material and other information stored in a computerized maintenance management system database
· Write model work orders for repetitive work
· Keep equipment files up to date
· Verify that parts are correct when delivered
· Provide leadership to improve reliability, reduce waste, and improve skills and effectiveness of maintenance resources
· Assist in creating and updating preventative maintenance procedures and plans
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
· Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, or military maintenance department
· Experience using Microsoft Office Project for creating a project plan, adding tasks, adding resources and milestones
What Will Put You Ahead
· Mechanical or electrical technology certification or similar STEM degree
· Experience with coordinating and supervising contractors
· Experience working with preventative/predictive maintenance methods and processes
· Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drive systems and components, and using proper methods and tools used in an industrial maintenance environment
· Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (We use Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) as our CMMS)
