Guideline Central Hiring for Java Developer at Remote Full Time

Guideline Central works with 45+ medical specialty associations (e.g. American Heart Association) to help develop and distribute toolkits and educational programs that educate healthcare professionals on current best practices. Our company’s mission is to support clinicians, and to improve healthcare outcomes for patients across the globe. We are seeking a motivated back-end focused Java full-stack software developer to join our growing in-house development team. Our company has an office in Lake Mary, FL, however this job can be fully remote or even partly remote, if desired.

Individuals applying for this position will enjoy working with a small, yet growing team, and should able to creatively problem solve. This position provides you the opportunity to build a service used by over 100,000 clinicians caring for patients, and most importantly, helps to saves lives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support digital (both web and mobile) development efforts for the company
• Responsible for Java development efforts for the company

• Develop, maintain and update our back-end software platform and APIs
• Collaborate with both internal and external teams to help maintain and improve our other digital properties, including: mobile app, APIs, search engine, client projects, etc.
• Work with team members on projects, new features, and future improvements
• Understand and implement current trends, best practices, and security

Required Experience:

• Java 8-17
• Spring Boot
• RESTful APIs
• GIT
• Docker
• Linux

Nice to Have:

• HTML5/CSS3
• AWS or similar Cloud usage
• Experience with Async web server development with Actix Web or similar
• Any NLP or machine-learning experience is a plus
• Any healthcare experience is a plus

Key Competencies:

• Must have 2+ years related experience in Java development
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Must be able to clearly articulate issues and develop resolutions independent of direct supervision
