SCOPE:
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional, stable and secure networks. You will be required to support in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. The most suitable candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
Maintain and support IP telephony and video conferencing equipment
Monitor network performance and integrity
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed
Maintain complete technical documentation
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience with Fortinet desired
Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl)
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
Solid understanding of operating systems
Sharp troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently
Organizational and mentoring skills
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Ability to drive to remote locations on occasion during implementations and outages
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Frequent walking, standing, stretching, bending.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer, usual peripherals, office software and standard safety and office equipment.
