To support our growth, HALO is looking for an Application Developer to analyze, design, code, maintain, and test the server-side customer-facing technologies, ensuring that created applications are secure, efficient, and support the user experience through supported browsers.
Responsibilities
Design, coding, maintaining, and testing software solutions.
Monitor programs and program data to ensure applications are running as expected.
Review development specifications and make recommendations on process improvements.
Ensure data security for websites and company-owned data and keep Director advised of any suspicious or potentially dangerous issues.
Interfaces with clients during the on-boarding of new applications.
Apply best practice security methodologies and approaches to the design, coding, maintenance, and testing of applications.
Participate in regular recurring security training.
Performs other duties and special projects as needed and directed by the Director.
. Requirements:
1-3 years of object-oriented Perl programming experience required.
1-3 years of experience working with Linux.
Working knowledge of application and web servers, Apache preferred.
Working knowledge of relational database servers, PostgreSQL preferred.
Working knowledge of server-side programming language Rails preferred.
BS Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
Experience with team-based software development using best engineering practices.
Strong attention to detail; Ability to organize multiple work assignments and establish priorities.
