JOB TITLE: Human Resources Manager
DEPARTMENT NAME: Human Resources
JOB REPORTS TO: Vice President
COMPENSATION: PART-TIME HOURLY
Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with Senior Management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, recruitment, onboarding and employment law compliance.
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares and maintains the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy
Updates Safety Related Policies and Coordinates Safety Trainings
Implement and sustain NIKE Employee Health and Safety Programs
Writes and updates Job Descriptions
Handles benefits administration, new enrollment and contact for claims resolution, etc.
Works with Supervisors/Managers to screen and interview candidates
Extends job offers
New employee onboarding
Employee relations counseling
Conducts annual employee reviews, disciplinary actions, terminations and exit interviews in compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
Establishes and maintains department records and reports
File OSHA Log in timely manner
Assess, determine and document risk factors for all positions
Update and maintain SDS Sheets
Maintain HR/Payroll data with payroll company software
Process weekly payroll
Conduct monthly safety committee meetings with Plant Manager
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or nine years Human Resources management experience. SHRM CP-PHR Certification credentials preferred

Visual Activity requirements including color, depth perception and field vision. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines, inspect product for any flaws or inaccuracies, determine neatness and thoroughness.
