Overview:
HarperCollins is seeking a National Account Sales Representative to join the Childrenxe2x80x99s Sales team selling to the Library Wholesale Channel. This position will be responsible for selling the HarperCollins childrenxe2x80x99s and teen titles for all imprints to Baker & Taylor and Brodart. The National Account Rep will work closely with their manager, sales colleagues and with the school and library marketing team to collaborate and coordinate efforts toward positioning Harper titles for maximum exposure and sales in this important channel. This role requires directing and managing co-operative advertising pools, as well as a strong interest in analyzing sales trends and circulation data. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childrenxe2x80x99s books and have in depth knowledge of the library market. This role includes regular attendance at library conferences and internal sales meetings throughout the year, as well as account meetings and presentations.

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual incentive opportunity expressed as a percentage of salary or a fixed amount. Similarly to salary, annual incentive opportunity targets are set based on a variety of factors including competitive market practice.
