Program Manager – Telecommunications:
Responsibilities include:
Ø Coordination of the program’s projects and overall management of project.
Ø Planning and designing the program.
Ø Manage the program’s budget as required by the client’s Program Director.
Ø Managing communications with all stakeholders.
Ø Manage risks to the Program’s successful outcome.
Ø Initiate activities and other management interventions wherever gasps in the program are identified.
Ø Aid during the client/contractor procurement process.
Ø Prepare the overall project plan and project schedule to establish milestone compliance measures and insure project completion on time and within budget. This includes, but limited to, providing engineering, design, and procurement input during project planning.
Ø Coordinate project management and engineering activities with involved and effected stakeholders, external entities and other engineering consultants and construction contractors.
Ø Provide staff with input and consult with Engineer-of-Record on design changes required during construction, clarification of design and support issue resolution to maintain schedule
Ø Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule for overall program.
Ø Provide project/program monthly status reports, which includes but not limited to scope changes, financial summary, milestone schedule, and one-month look ahead.
Ø Prepare a project (electronic/digital) binder that will require all documentation to be organized and stored in, as the project progresses from initiation through completion as per the client’s document control procedure.
Ø Prepare and/or track project/program cost estimates and provide project health reporting as requested by the client.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
Ø Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a school accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Ø Minimum of (15) years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Ø Minimum of (10) years in project management.
Ø Project Management Professional certification preferred.
Ø Substantial knowledge of related disciplines and understanding of the effects on the client and its customers.
Ø Aware of changes and advancements in the industry and develop industry-wide expertise.
Ø Understand how the client interacts with outside organizations, including other utilities and regulatory agencies, and with its customers.
Ø Ability to understand the clients’ project budgets, costs, rate structures, and policies.
Ø Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ø Strong negotiating skills.
Ø Strong problem-solving skills focused on the results of data rather than on the data analysis procedures. In some cases, these “problems” may be associated with the client’s generation and transmission of electricity safely, at the lowest cost, or in developing expanded capabilities and services for customers.
Ø Ability to investigate and to develop solutions to non-routine problems.
Ø Demonstrated ability to handle a project from start to finish, with only major decisions being brought to the Project Manager.
Ø Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and requires support only to confirm expected results.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $225,000.00 per year
