Job Summary and Qualifications
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator provides professional oversight and coordination of CME programs in compliance with Texas Medical Association (TMA) accreditation standards. This job coordinates, implements and evaluates conferences, seminars, and programs for practitioners.
Job Specific Duties:
1. Meets with planning committee, physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate and oversee faculty arrangements.
2. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards including program approval process.
3. Manages educational programs to meet established timelines and program content expectations.
4. Coordinates meeting logistics, other arrangements, marketing, planning and implementation.
5. Assists in identifying CME topics that tie to HCA West/ HCA Medical Center/ The Woman’s Hospital of Texas strategic plan
6. Assists in creating CME protocol and procedures
7. Execute assigned CME activities in accordance with HCA West/ HCA Medical Center/ The Woman’s Hospital of Texas policies and Business Practices, and ACCME guidelines and policies.
8. Provides on-site support for CME programs including attendance, distribution and collection of materials and audiovisual support.
9. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of programs including attendance database.
10. Interfaces with industry representatives when applicable to arrange for grants and or exhibits.
11. Provides coverage for Medical Library operations as needed, including, but not limited to circulation desk.
12. Develops program budgets and reports.
13. Builds and maintains relationships with medical/executive leadership
14. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
