Job Summary and Qualifications: Manager Operations MountainStar Care Partners at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center

As part of the Value Based Operations team, theManager of Operations for MountainStar Care Partners, which currently includes an ACO, will support the program, performance, and financial management for the ACO. This position works collaboratively with internal teams including Market and Division Resources, Population Health Team, Enterprise Analytics, Contracting, Payment Innovation, ACO providers and practices, and all participating hospitals. The role is key to the development, implementation, and sustainability of initiatives and programs to support the ACO and future network programs. This includes performing industry and regulatory analyses that will be used to identify, evaluate, and develop recommendations to support physician, practice and clinic staff in the management, planning and execution of success.

What qualifications you will need:

Key Responsibilities:

• Drives and optimizes participating clinic performance in the ACO through various workstreams such as utilization management, quality, post-acute care, and Part B drug spend.
• Develops and manages programs to ensure contractual obligations in care delivery, quality, financial performance, and legal initiatives are met.
• Reviews participating clinic ACO contract performance against targets and helps guide future clinic direction to strengthen the value proposition and meet goals and objectives.
• Facility Board of Directors meetings on a regular basis.
• Keeps up to date on industry and patient/consumer trends within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
• Supports development of strategic summaries, positioning documents, and executive presentations that clearly and professionally communicate ACO strategies for senior level audiences.
• Analyzes industry trends, patient/member needs, and internal performance to deliver data-driven insights to support actionable strategic direction and prioritization.
• Develops, implements, manages, and maintains operational systems and activities.
• Serves as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside community, including CMS.
• Manages multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines.
• Allocates time to meet completion requirements.
• Serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
• Reviews and ensures adherence to corporate compliance policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

*Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Skills/Basic Qualifications:

• Requires demonstrated team, leadership, organizational, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
• Requires effective relationship-building skills.
• Requires strong project and program management and organizational skills.
• Requires proven ability to complete large, complex projects in an accurate, timely, and autonomous fashion.
• Requires strong presentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytic skills and experience in analyzing and identifying performance improvement opportunities using quality, cost, and utilization data preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project
• Professional experience with Patient-Centered Medical Homes, HEDIS measures, and with National Committee for Quality Assurance standards

Work Experience:

• A minimum of one year of related experience in ACO or CIN setting.
• Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research and business plan development.
• Knowledge of ACO required.
• Experience in quality and financial performance process improvement preferred.
• Demonstrated team, leadership, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
