Job Summary and Qualifications

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in al setting served by the department. The CRT will perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Respiratory Care department policy and procedure manual and will assist in assigned administrative tasks, both basic and advanced, and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. The CRT should also be able to provide advanced clinical expertise and education at department staff meetings. This position may also require completion of competency requirements for the neonatal transport team

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Licensed by LSBME as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate from an accredited Certified Respiratory Therapist entry-level program
• Minimum one year of post-graduate experience preferred, but not required
