Health Affiliates Maine has an opening for a Medical Records Support Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, 40 hr/wk, role.
Entry-level
Roles and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to the following):
- Data Entry for WITS
- Process all record requests by verifying valid authorizations to release information and provide minimum information needed to fulfill requests
- File clinical records as needed
- Assist with the discharge process for CM and OT client charts; Scan documents as needed
- Sort incoming client paperwork and distribute accordingly (to include archiving discharges, separate private and mainecare clients, scan and upload to EHR, etc)
- Assist staff with pulling and/or locating client charts as needed
- Provide administrative support to the Privacy Officer as needed to complete HIPAA related tasks
- Assist with other administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Management Team.
Minimum Education/Experience Qualifications:
- High School Education or Equivalent
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail are important skills needed.
