FULL TIME AND PART TIME POSITIONS AVALIABLE
GENERAL PURPOSE
To provide generalist CBMS program services including all public assistance program areas of food assistance, adult and child financial and medical assistance, energy programs and fraud investigation services. Functions include application initiation, interactive interviews and ongoing case management and program eligibility re-determinations.

This position is directly responsible to the Economic Security Services Supervisor
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Supervision is not provided but works with a peer group on case consultation and workflow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Determines client eligibility through CBMS process.
2. Conducts client interviews for eligibility and may refer to other program services such as Child Welfare, adult protection or other DHHS or community resources.
3. Maintains active case including managing re-determinations, applications and all other aspects of case maintenance consistent with state rules and regulations and local policy.
4. Interfaces with County finance staff at the call of the supervisor on issuances and other financial matters related to CBMS.
5. Assists in developing workflow procedures.
6. Consults with other counties and state staff on data entry processes and other systems related matters.
7. Attends and actively participates in trainings and Departmental meetings.
8. Maintains client records with filing, assuring required documents are on record, and that case comments are complete and can be accessed.
9. May provide front office coverage if needed.
10. Interacts with other governmental agencies such as Social Security, State Offices of Self Sufficiency and Health Care Policy and Finance.
11. Adheres to policy on EBT issuance.
12. Complies with quality assurance reviews and participates in audits and state level program reviews. G
13. May serve on CBMS related user’s groups and trains staff on systems changes as directed by supervisor.
14. Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
At least one year of work in the public sector preferably in human services area. Computer skills are necessary. High School education or equivalent is required, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree preferred. Spanish language skill is preferred.

● Ability to utilize resources for program compliance such as manuals, agency letters and quality assurance processes.
● Ability to work in fast pace environment, with a focus on multitasking and flexibility of daily tasks
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Completion of emergency management courses ICS 100 and 700 within 12 months of hire.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Personal Computer, FAX machine, copier, video and audio equipment, Camera, VCR, basic office equipment, automobile, valid Colorado Driver’s License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to perform office work, sitting and walking about the office and office building. Ability to lift 15 Lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normally, indoors in a controlled office environment. Frequently, home visits or meetings off site are necessary. Moderate noise-many public health and DHHS clients are children. Comes in contact with infectious waste during course of duties.
ELEMENTS OF CONTACT
Personal contact with any individual of the public, is normally a single occurrence. Hand-to-hand exchanges of documents, money, personal property and other items may be required. Face-to face verbal communications between the member and an individual is required, but is mainly singular. The member’s anticipated contact with blood, body fluids or other medical hazards are rare. The member should have adequate time to take precautionary and protective measures.
