Medical Billing Manager Odenton, MD

We are looking for a Medical Billing Manager to join our medical practice full time in Odenton, MD. Ideally, our incoming manager has experience with medical billing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a medical billing department- someone who is organized, a great communicator, and a team player who also excels at leading others within a billing department.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of a medical billing department
• Perform Patient and Insurance report analysis and identify any trends or issues that need to be addressed
• Communicate trends for improvement of the cashflow with practice’ management team and medical providers
• Assign and oversee work of billing staff to ensure accuracy and resolving inconsistencies
• Ensure billing and coding for all current and new medical service lines are accurate and consistent

Other responsibilities may include:

• Work on and manage insurance AR to resolve outstanding or denied claims
• Submit insurance appeals
• Complete monthly payment posting reconciliation
• Answer patient billing questions and concerns

Key Skills:

• Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Assume role of liaison between billing and other departments
• 5+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management
• Strong familiarity with federal and commercial insurance plans

Salary (range):

• $28-$31 per hour (DOE)
