Position Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (Talent Management Business Partner) serves as a consultant to operations leaders and staff regarding people practices and programs such as performance planning and management of staff engagement, workforce planning, people development, and employee relation consultation. This position partners with management and staff to source and create people-related solutions that support business objectives.
Your contribution to the team includes:
Seek and cultivate opportunities to build relationships across organizational boundaries to strengthen relationships, leverage talents and enhance job satisfaction and performance.
Function as a change agent, supporting leaders and staff with planning for change and successfully moving teams through the change continuum. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with Talent Management to assist in developing solutions and programs that support policies that foster collaborative, an equitable and inclusive workforce and support equity programming.
Facilitate the resolution of complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective employee relation fact finding investigations to recommend solutions to issues.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of staff, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., leave management, coaching, consulting, career development, disciplinary actions).
Partner with leaders, and Talent Management team members to identify and champion performance management and feedback mechanisms for setting expectations, holding people accountable, fostering an environment of continual performance feedback.
Coach and guide supervisors through challenging staff engagement and performance management situations to drive optimal performance and employee relationships. Coach and guide employees and managers on the interactive process, including any adaptive ergonomic equipment needs.
Identify people development needs, in partnership with business units/regions, and partners with Talent Pathways and Learning to deploy learning, mentoring and coaching programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree, and/or combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
Experience working successfully in a human resources or talent management business partner model supporting the needs of a client group. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and performance management.
Intermediate level ability with Word, Excel and Outlook.
If you know about the following, it’s a plus:
HRIS knowledge preferred.
ADP experience preferred.
Healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
SHRM Certified Professional preferred or HRCI SPHR/PHR
You must be located in the greater King/Pierce/Snohomish County area. This is a hybrid position; virtual and onsite work is required.
Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to: COVID-19, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), Varicella, Annual Influenza, and TB are required for all employees. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immunity prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
