HELPSY is a proud B Corp and the regions largest used clothing collection company. We are leading the way in keeping clothing out of the trash, but we need your help! Working with us helps accomplish our mission and supports hundreds of partner nonprofits including churches, schools, veterans, and community organizations. We are also working with municipalities to provide textile recycling services.
As part of the team, you will work with the logistics planner to assure all transportation needs of the company are met to the best of your abilities. Helpsy is a rapidly growing company and therefore we are looking for somebody that can work under pressure. This is a remote position with flexible work hours, but sometimes requires last-minute urgent requests on weekends. Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and organizational skills. Experience with logistics including export and import is a plus. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
Obtain freight rates for LTL, FTL, inland freight shipments, and other trucking needs requested by customers or any of the Helpsy departments.
Follow up and tracking of shipments and collaborate with Helpsy warehouses, suppliers, customers, and corresponding sales teams.
Communicate with the warehouses on loads that are shipped or picked up and make sure they have the corresponding BOL/paperwork before loading.
Review and forward freight invoices to accounting for payment.
Collaborate with companies sales reps to ensure they know the shipments.
Flexibility to support the warehouses or freight companies we work with in case needed on weekends.
Works with customers preferred transport companies, freight forwarders, or any other companies to schedule, obtain documentation, and communicate to arrange export container shipments.
Liaises with internal and external contacts to exchange information and verify delivery requirements
Investigates and resolves related problems in a timely manner, liaising with internal and external contacts
Escalates problems to the appropriate department and/or individual
Participates in promoting a customer-focused, cooperative, team-oriented culture in alignment with the companys core values
