Hiram College invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the operation and administration of the Hiram College Athletic Department. This is a 10-month position, and salary is commensurate with experience. The College is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to*:
* Assist in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic-related injuries/illnesses under the direction of the head athletic trainer and team physician for all offered intercollegiate sports.
* Assist with the daily operation of the athletic training facility including supervision of medical coverage for practices and events, supervision of student first aiders, appropriate record-keeping practices, and facility maintenance
* Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and, as necessary, parents regarding the nature of injury, treatment plan, and return to activity progression
* This position is in a non-traditional working environment including mornings, nights, and weekends with limited travel.
* Administrative and/or teaching assignment within the athletic department and Exercise/Sport Science Program
* Ensure alongside the head athletic trainer proper application of special policies and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
