The Maintenance Technician will work with our skilled Maintenance Technicians in a manufacturing environment on production machinery, conveyor systems, and the facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who has been in Maintenance but has felt under-utilized, or has had little opportunity for growth in their current maintenance role.

Our Maintenance Team performs a wide variety of duties, interacting with every machine in our plant. Candidates may have had plenty of experience or have had only a year or two of experience but they are mechanically inclined, have had some experience working on machinery (possibly even farm equipment), and will be willing to learn from more experienced technicians. We have a great team of service-oriented skilled technicians and need someone who fits in with their desire to help make things work better.

The duties include the following (with oversight and training from more senior maintenance technicians):

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

Listen to machinery or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss with machine operator or other maintenance workers to diagnose or repair machinery.

Dismantle defective machines and equipment; install new or repaired parts.

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Install and repair (under supervision) electrical apparatus, pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment (building & grounds).

Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.

Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
