As a Utility Construction Foreman at HBI, you will perform the essential work of installing and maintaining the telecommunication lines that keep our communities connected. There is a continuous need for expansion of the telecommunications infrastructure. Our business is more important now than ever before as many people must work from home and attend classes online. We are growing and adding new field employees to meet a demand that will continue to be necessary long after we are past the current disruptions of COVID-19.

HBI is a family-owned and operated telecommunications contractor that has been in business since 1946. We proudly work year-round and are continually growing and looking to add skilled workers to our team. We are offering up to a $4000 sign-on and working bonus for qualified applicants.

FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervising the work crew consisting of 2-3 crew members.
• Planning the most efficient and effective work order in order to perform tasks on a daily and weekly basis
• Identifying, communicating, and troubleshooting problems on the job site
• Executing quality work
• Creating and ensuring a positive, professional company image on the job site.

FOREMAN REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 2-years’ experience in utility construction/telephone cable placement as a manager/foreman/HDD operator
• Ability to read and understand telephone and CATV prints
• Willing to travel Monday-Friday throughout the state of Wisconsin (Primarily Northeastern WI) and be home weekends

-An insurance-acceptable driver’s license- Class A CDL preferred/able to obtain

• Previous training in utility safety standards
• Strong management skills with the ability to lead crews and assure customer satisfaction
• Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
