Staff Accountant- Lifecare
SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Lifecare Staff Accountant reports to the Redeemer Health Director of Accounting, Lifecare with some Corporate wide responsibility consistent with the level of experience. The role of Staff Accountant requires knowledge of the general ledger and has experience in the preparation of the financial statements. In addition, the position will prepare monthly account analysis, bank reconciliation and, assists with the financial presentation material. The role will also support the preparation of LifeCare budgets, potentially components of the Corporate budget, and schedules and files for the annual independent audits and cost reports as necessary. The position may also support other health system entities when requested

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will be a Bachelor Degreed Accountant. A Certified Public Accountant license is preferred but not required. A minimum of two years of experience in Accounting, healthcare experience preferred but not required. This position will require a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems and Point Click Care (PCC) are a plus but not required. The candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office requirements as these are essential tools in efficiently completing work assignments.
The candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills. This position requires ongoing communications with operational team members on a routine basis.
Knowledge of and experience in operating and capital budget development and forecasting is preferred but not required.
