HCS Head Start, Inc. requires all staff to be FULLY vaccinated.Deadline for Applications: August 31, 2022Job Title: Human Resources AssistantSummary: Work within the Human Resource area to support and assist in HR verbal and written communication with all stakeholders, maintain personnel and other HR related files, complete assigned data entry in Child Plus and other HR software, ensure all HR related reminders are communicated regularly and by deadline, serve and provide support in other areas considered as inherent to the Human Resources Department area of responsibility including providing clerical support to the Professional Development Manager.
Knowledge of: Best practices in office professionalism and procedures.Effective customer service practices.OHS Performance Standards a plus.General Human Resources best practices a plus.HR and Education laws and regulations around confidentiality a plus.Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A the HR Assistant is a mandated reporter and held to the statutory reporting requirements.Education and Certification Requirements: High School diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or equivalent preferredExperience: Two (2) years experience working in an office setting required.Qualities: A strong commitment to the vision and mission of HCS Head Start.Desire to embrace and ability to promote diversity in the workplace.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain and model professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.Ability to maintain and adhere to boundary guidelines.Ability and willingness to work as a team member and individually when applicable.Exhibits analytical aptitude.Consistently exercises sound judgment.SKILLS: Computer Literacy: Strong computer skills and experience with computer programs such as Office 365, Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, Word (including formatting & mail merge), Power Point and databases.
