Responsibilities
Horizon Health, the nation’s largest operator of hospital based behavioral health services, in partnership with Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA, seeks a Director of Behavioral Health for our Adult inpatient psychiatric program.
The Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for the maintenance of the contractual relationship and the overall administration of patient care for a 20-bed adult inpatient psychiatric program. Included in these responsibilities are:
The development and maintenance of a high-quality treatment program;
The development and implementation of a comprehensive community relations program;
Strategic planning, program administration, and development.
Qualifications
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience managing an inpatient psychiatric program in a hospital
- Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health related field required
- Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication
- Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position
- Adheres to established hospital and department guidelines and protocols
- Supports hospital mission and protocols
